GIS Internship Blog Post 2

I found the GIS Business module and assignment to be very interesting. I did not know that the definition of GIS job titles varied so widely. I learned a lot from the GIS Stack Exchange Forum. I already knew a bit about RFPs from museum and cultural resource management contexts. The way the RFP readings really laid out the whole RFP process was very helpful. This could be a good resource to refer to in the future. I was surprised that archaeology does not fall under any of the ESRI Industries. ArcPro, and more broadly GIS, is widely used by non-academic and academic archaeologists. It helps track excavations, plan projects, model sites, predict where sites may be, among other things.
